Exercise 1

Play every whole note, on strings 4 and 3, up to the 12th fret (ascending order):
  • D-E-F-G-A-B-C-D (12th Fret).
  • G-A-B-C-D-E-F-G (12th Fret).

Play every whole note, on strings 4 and 3, from the 12th fret down to their open note (descending order):
  • D (12th Fret)-C-B-A-G-F-E-D.
  • G (12th Fret)-F-E-D-C-B-A-G.

As you play each note, say the name of the note out loud.

Spend at least 5 to 10 minutes on this exercise.
