In this lesson we're going to practice the G-E-D Shape Patterns of the CAGED System.

As the backing track plays:
  • Play the G Shape Pattern over the C Major chord (bars 1 and 2).
  • Play the E Shape Pattern over the F Major chord (bars 3 and 4).
  • Play the D Shape Pattern over the G Major chord (bar 5).
  • Play the D Shape Pattern over the F Major chord (bar 6).

On bars 1 through 4:
  • Start on the 6th string and play down to the 1st string.
  • From the 1st string play up to the 6th string.

On bars 5 and 6:
  • You can choose the notes to play from the indicated Shape Pattern.
